Bristol’s oldest and largest railway station
布里斯托尔寺米德斯was designed by the British engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in August 1840 as the western terminus of the Great Western Railway from London Paddington.
To meet the demand of the increasing number of trains passing through Bristol Temple Meads the station was extended in 1870 and again in 1930, then 1965 saw the closure of the original platforms.
