Passenger assistance
Our passenger assistance is operating with additional safety measures in place, including the requirement to wear a face covering.
Book passenger assistance as you normally would. Please wear your own face covering and our staff will do likewise, this reduces the risk to you and our staff. If you don’t wear a face covering this will limit our ability to help you. If you do not have your own face covering we will provide a face covering for you. At our stations we have face coverings (including visors) and hand sanitiser available to help us help you.

Retailers

Glasgow Central is a category A listed building that was built in 1879 and opened by the Caledonian Railway. Today, it serves around 29 million passengers a year, making it the 11th busiest station in Britain.

An inter-station bus leaves from Gordon Street on a circular route to Queen Street station, Buchanan bus station and back to Glasgow Central.

Accessible parking
There are six Blue Badge spaces: four on level five and two on level four. The normal tariff applies.
There is a level route between platform 15 and level five of the car park (station hours only).

Step-free access
There are step-free routes to and from Gordon Street, Hope Street and the low-level Hope Street station. The Union Street entrance has steps.
To get to the low-level station from the main concourse, there are escalators by platforms 14-15 and lifts by the Hope Street entrance.
