We care about keeping passengers and the general public safe when using train stations, level crossings and rail tracks.
We have one of the safest railways in Europe, however serious and fatal accidents still occur. Therefore, we invest in several safety awareness programmes and campaigns, working with national and local organisations, to make the railway a safer place for those who use it.
Promoting railway safety in schools

We partner with other organisations to help communicate safe behaviour around the railway in the most relevant and engaging ways possible. Some of our partners include sports charities like English Football League Trust and StreetGames, and educational organisations like侦察员。
Community safety managers
We have designated community safety managers in each of our regional areas, whose role it is to work with local communities to promote safety on and around the railway.
