Where you’ll be based

For the Project Management – Business change pathway, your base location will be our Milton Keynes office, however we are a national function so flexibility is essential as there will be 6-month placement opportunities in our London offices and other locations.

Depending on the location applied for in your application, you will be assigned to a Region and allocated your placement locations within that Region by the Scheme Manager.

What you’ll be doing

When applying for the scheme you’ll have an opportunity to choose from two pathways:

Capital Delivery – Project Management

当你加入首都Managem交付项目ent pathway you’ll work as a Graduate Project Manager. Your work will be varied with the opportunity to explore commercial, safety, and risk & opportunity management techniques, with exposure across several functions including Construction, Planning, Strategy, Operations and Estimating.

Your strong interpersonal skills will come into their own when you’re building relationships with your stakeholders.

You could be contributing to high-profile projects, through preparing presentations, reports, or managing key contracts. You will gain an understanding to GRIP (Governance for Rail Investment Projects) which is the project management delivery lifecycle used in Capital Delivery. You’ll also gain a basic level of knowledge in Engineering.

Business Change Projects – Network Services

When joining our Business Change Project Management pathway, you’ll be part of our Network Services function that provides project and business change management across a wide-ranging portfolio of national projects. You will be supporting the delivery of a safer and better performing railway by providing a world class professional services to the wider business organisation.

What professional qualifications could you gain?

During your two year programme, you will undertake a 13 month apprenticeships where you will gain the Association for Project Management Project Management Qualification (APM PMQ) and a Level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification from the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education.

What opportunities are available at the end of the scheme?
