你会做什么
Commercial & procurement (C&P) lead the development and delivery of strategies encompassing category management, procurement, supplier relationship management, external business development and marketing and communications, encompassing all of our customers. Our role is to deliver economic, efficient and effective commercial solutions to contribute to “a better railway for a better Britain”.
You’ll carry out rotational placements in different commercial and procurement teams. You’ll have the opportunity to work on important procurement projects and will learn about the complete end to end procurement process, playing an active role through each stage.
Depending on the stage of the procurement process, you could be drafting governance documents or awarding contracts to suppliers; you could be agreeing and evaluating contracts against tender specifications; or negotiating with suppliers including pricing, contract and payment considerations. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the supply base in a particular area, through market research and engagement, in order to make informed strategic recommendations.
